I am an oil painter based in New York City and Nantucket.
My paintings celebrate the natural world and suggest the grace, dignity, freedom, and even wildness that might be our own modes of living.
I love to create still life paintings during the cold winters. For me, the way the light falls on a quiet bowl of fruit or on a dangling bunch of grapes can suggest the astounding dignity and grace life may hold.
When winter gives way to spring, my still life paintings give way to landscape paintings. In them, I celebrate the wildness and wonder of Nantucket summers.
I trained at the Art Students League of New York and the New York Academy of Art.
